I replaced half of the front gutters a few months ago when they finally gave up the ghost and fell down. I thought spring was on the way and we’d have sun, but I saw the Ark go by and realized it was time to fix the other half of the gutters. Especially as half of the other half had fallen down.

The front gutters finally gave up and fell down this past week. I put up new gutters and updated the french drain, which will hopefully keep some water out of the basement.

More deck work this weekend. We have the framing in for the deck, now it’s time to put in joists. Someday in the far future we will get the decking itself put on.

The deck work has continued. Last weekend we got all of the old porch out and this weekend we staked out the new posts and put them in. 40 bags of concrete later we are now ready for the joists.

We started on the new front porch by ripping out 6500 pounds of concrete that was the old one.

I finished the dog door and patched up the gate so now le dogs can go outside on their own.

I made a ramp for the dogs to get to the window in the basement. It’s 95% done as I just have some railings to put on the the ramp itself for the pooches. I overbuilt it as it supports my weight and the dogs weigh like nothing. And we had a visitor in the house.

I put a gate inbetween the garage and the house to block out the back yard for the dogs to roam free. Unfortunately the possums are in the side yard sometimes, and Rocky thinks it’s cool to roll around in their scat. It’s beyond shag nasty.
