San Francisco

I went down to San Francisco to support our Beta for work and got to hang out w/ May a few days in SF. I got a few drinks w/ John Pottebaum and Apurva. Unfortunetly I didn't get many pictures. Mainly one of May and the ivy growing in her living room.

Cyclecross Astoria

We went out to Astoria for the race this weekend. We stayed at the beach in Gearhart and hung out Saturday night. Megan, Dan and I went to the beach after drinking and Megan ran into the ocean. The course looked badas and had a jump people went off.

We went out to the Cyclecross in Rainier on the way to Astoria. We saw lots of people biff it in the sandpit, nothing on film though.

Cyclecross Hornings Hideout

Ingrid, Matt and Jeremy - known as JT to his people, ran cyclecross at Hornings Hideout off of Pumpkin Ridge Road. It was badass. There's some dude who rolls on a modified mountain bike w/ a leaf spring for the front shock. I saw him pass quite a few people. Not Matt or JT though.

Dan competed in the boulder comp at Circuit on Saturday. He placed 2nd in his division.

Cycle Cross Alpenrose

On Sunday we went out to Alpenrose to do a Cross Crusade race. Matt and I rode in the beginner race where I came very close to dead last, Matt got 45th(ish). I blame it on my bike. Ingrid rode w/ the women and did really well.

On Friday we went over to Smith Rocks to watch Keevin, Dan and Matt work on Chain Reaction (5.12c)

Cycle Cross

Last Sunday we went to watch Matt do his first cyclecross race. It looked pretty badass. He got 13th out of like 40 which was pretty good. It looked like enough fun that Ingrid and I are going to do it next weekend. Ingrid will use his bike and I'll convert my old mountain bike to a single speed and give it a whirl
