Ingrid and I traveled to Spain for a little over a week to visit our friends Eric and Eli in Malage on the Mediterranean. On All Saints Day we went up to Antequera with their family to see the cool rock formations. A few days in we traveled north to Granada to see the Alhambra and Albayzin - where we had a very nice hotel room. We also made it with Eric and Eli to the caves in Nerja, which were pretty cool. As we missed the Alcazaba of the Alhambra, we went to downtown Malaga and visited their Alcazaba which was uncrowded and very cool.

Malaga

Caves of Nerja

Another side trip from Malaga, this time to see the caves of Nerja and a famous cliff side where something important happened long ago. A Roman acueduct was also just lying around off the side of a highway.

Alcazaba of Malaga

We visited the old Alcazaba and Roman theatre in downtown Malaga. It was much less crowded than the same in Granada which almost made it cozy.

I finally got to painting the hole in the hallway that I patched the week I moved in, over 5 years ago. And some picture molding went up along with more paint. Ingrid got some new hats and walked them up Mt. Tabor with her ma.

I saw we had actual potatos in the yard after throwing a few spuds in the ground instead of the compost. I tried out making Spanish Tortilla with them. The potatos resisted being dug up, but in the end the oil, the knife and I won out and a Tortilla was made.

Rocky decided to roll around in composted animal scat so we washed him twice. I was mean and washed him outside in the cold and rubbed the shampoo in with ice. Ingrid did the second clean with warm water - no wonder he yaps at me. After losing a tug-of-war match with Tabitha I went outside and scared myself with a new dado blade while making a new bookshelf.

Ingrid and I flew over to Denver to see Wes and Phyl. They plied us with martinis and 18oz steaks after making us brush their cats. Strange folks. We got up to the Bucksnort Tavern which is a great ride if you are on a motorcycle, a little scary if you're being driven by Wes. We got to check out his new Triumph and pour some motor oil on his back yard as it's too nice.
